VisaFlo can autofill supported IRCC online portals and IMM PDF forms from the data collected in the client questionnaire. The workflow is designed to reduce repetitive manual entry, but you should still review every field before submission.
Use this article when you want to know whether a case is ready for online portal autofill, what counts as one usage, and what to check before running autofill.
Before you run online portal autofill
- Create the case with the correct case type.
- Send the questionnaire to the client.
- Review the questionnaire for missing required sections.
- Make sure the principal applicant, spouse, and dependants have completed the required information for the case.
- Install the correct Chrome extension for the portal you are filling.
- Log in to the IRCC portal yourself. VisaFlo does not need your IRCC login credentials.
- Keep the portal tab open and in the foreground while autofill runs.
Does the whole case need to be complete?
For online portal autofill, plan to complete the full case before running autofill. If the principal applicant is complete but the spouse or children are still incomplete, the online portal may not be ready to fill correctly.
For IMM PDF generation, you may be able to generate available forms earlier, but you still need to review missing fields before using the forms.
What counts as one usage?
One case generally means one main applicant plus spouse and dependants for the same application. Regenerating forms or rerunning autofill for the same case after corrections should not be treated the same as creating a brand-new case.
Common questions
Can I autofill only the principal applicant first?
For online portal autofill, finish the full family case first. If spouse or child sections are incomplete, the portal workflow may fail or leave gaps.
Do I need to enter the same family-member table for each dependant?
If the portal requires the information separately for each person, each person's section needs the required family details. If you already have the data in another document, try using AI Scanner to help move it into the right section, then review manually.
Does VisaFlo collect my IRCC portal password?
No. You log in to the IRCC portal yourself. The extension runs after you are logged in.
If autofill fails
Check:
- The case type matches the portal you are trying to fill.
- The client questionnaire is complete enough for that portal.
- The correct Chrome extension is installed and enabled.
- Chrome is up to date.
- The portal tab stayed in the foreground.
- You are using the latest extension version.
If the problem continues, send support the case ID, portal name, screenshots of the error, and the step where autofill stopped.
